Michigan Humane’s Grosfeld Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to providing urgent care, along with critical medical procedures like spay and neuter surgeries, to animals in need in Detroit.

The Grosfeld Veterinary Clinic provides monthly opportunities for cat and dog sterilization surgeries along with wellness appointments. To see our available appointments, please choose one of the links below. 

Important Information

Deposits
A surgery deposit is required at the time of scheduling. Those fees are: 

  • $225 for dogs (This is the cost of surgery before any optional add-ons).
  • $100 for cats (This is the cost of surgery before any optional add-ons).
  • A wellness visit deposit is also required. That fee is $45. (Full cost of appointment varies depending on services).

Deposits are non-refundable. If you make an appointment and need to reschedule more than 48 hours before your appointment, your deposit can be moved to a new date. If it is less than 48 hours before your appointment, or you do not show up for your scheduled appointment without rescheduling, your deposit will be forfeited.

Spay/Neuter Breed Restrictions
There are breed Restrictions for Spay and Neuter Appointments at the Grosfeld Veterinary Clinic. Those include:

Cats

  • Oriental
  • Savannah
  • Sphynx
  • Egyptian Mau

Dogs

  • French bulldog 
  • English bulldog 

Other Information

  • Animals ages 8 and up require pre-anesthetic bloodwork ahead of time in order to schedule a spay/neuter appointment 
  • Dogs over 100 pounds over 5 years of age 
  • Animals 10 years and up will be referred to other Michigan Humane clinics
